Air Evac Lifeteam AMTs provide ACCESS to a higher level of emergency health care for patients with life- or limb-threatening injuries or illnesses. How? These highly skilled A & P mechanics ensure the fleet of more than 150 helicopters is ready to provide ACCESS at a moment's notice.

No two days are the same for an Air Evac Lifeteam Aviation Maintenance Technician. You may find yourself at the base, a hospital pad or working in the field. And while the job may take you out of the shop, you will be prepared for any situation. AMTs are provided two weeks of initial in-house training and recurrent classes. Air Evac Lifeteam has earned the FAA's Diamond Maintenance Award and the company's Safety Management System has been awarded the "Active Conformance" status by the FAA.

Required Credentials

Base Mechanics are responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the base aircraft, and must have the following credentials:

  • Current FAA and A & P Certificate
  • Current State Driver's License
  • Minimum 2 years experience in helicopter maintenance
  • High School or Training Equivalent
  • Inspection Authorization a plus
